About Rock and Roll Mountain Biking

After years of mountain biking throughout Western Australia, we dreamed of being able to share these unique experiences with other people. It was with this vision that Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain Biking Tours was created. The major aim of the company is to provide flexible customized tours, rides and clinics for all different levels of riders. We offer a huge range of services from day tours to weekenders, bike maintenance workshops all the way to race coaching. We promise to achieve all of this with not only our passion for mountain biking but our unsurpassed knowledge of all the best trails in Western Australia and our ability to tailor a ride to suit all levels of experience.

Let us introduce the members of the Rock ‘n’ Rock Mountain Biking team. Although we all have different backgrounds, our love of mountain biking has drawn us together to create a friendly and experienced team capable of providing a memorable mountain biking experience.


Jenny Wardle - Owner

If you can’t beat them join them! While Jen loves to take part in any activity, she just can’t get away from mountain biking. When she married Mark she also married the sport. Bikes have always been a part of our lives, from our honeymoon, to family holidays and all throughout the house. So the only logical choice was to be a part of this dream.

Mark Wardle - Owner,Tour Guide and Instructor (Level 1 MTB)

Mark has been mountain biking in Western Australia for over 20 years, during that time he has ridden and raced in the local mountain bike community during that time. He has done several terms with both the Perth Mountain Bike Club (PMBC) and the Western Australian Mountain Bike Association (WAMBA) as a general committee member over this time. He operated his own cycle store for 8 years, and continues to currently work in the cycle industry. Mark has raced and ridden both nationally and internationally and it was during these trips that he experienced mountain biking tourism and dreamed of offering a service showing the unique Western Australian trails.

Amanda Lobegeiger – Tour Guide and Instructor (Level 0 MTB)

Amanda was lulled into mountain biking about 9 years ago through the little known sport of mountain bike walking (walking mountain bike trails) by now husband James. After getting sick of just hanging around mountain bike races, Amanda decided give racing a bash. Since then she has been a sporadic racer and frequent volunteer for Perth Mountain Bike Club. Having a day job as a teacher has made helping those new to the sport gain some skills a natural step.

Ben McGrath - Tour Guide and Mountain Bike Guru

Ben has a passion for single-track. It all started over 10 years ago when his wife bought him his first serious mountain bike, little did she know the obsession that she had unleashed. Ben started racing cross country and soon had more than a few titles under his belt. He is a highly skilled bicycle mechanic and has managed one of Perth’s biggest Bicycle stores. Ben loves to share his enthusiasm for Mountain Biking with all those around him.

Peter Millard - Tour Guide and Instructor (Level 1 MTB)

Peter has been off-road riding since the late 1970's having built his own knobbly tyre bike which was later called "Mountain Biking" He bought his first serious bike in late 80's with many new bikes since then !! He and his wife Debbie have been involved with PMBC for the past 15years. He has raced downhill & XC at state and club level. He was PMBC Club champion in 2007. Peter has been involved with organising the annual 12hour race and helping with Dwellingup 100. Riding over east included "Wildside" in Tasmania with riding mountain bike tracks along the way in SA & VIC

Shannon Ducker

Shannon Ducker - Tour Guide and Instructor (Level 0 MTB)

Shannon Ducker has been mountain biking for 20+ years. Shannon is an elite level mountain biker and has raced on a State and National level. In 1999 Shannon Ducker was the WA State Champion for cross country mountain biking after winning the WA cross country mountain bike series and the WA state championships. She also won the Karri Cup in 2000.
In recent years Shannon has been raising her two young boys Taj Ducker and Jayden Ducker and encouraging them to get into mountain biking as well.


Tamantha Weil - Tour Guide and Instructor (Level 1 MTB)

Tamantha competed in BMX as a child, then swapped the bike for a horse to spend a decade competing in Equestrian eventing. She briefly dabbled in road and track cycling before completing an almost full circle to come back to rubber on dirt, taking up mountain biking more than 10 years ago. She has since competed in many events and has ridden her mtb through much of Australia, New Zealand and Europe. 
Tamantha loves sharing her bicycle skills and knowledge with other enthusiasts. In particular, Tamantha has a special interest in seeing ladies and children enter and enjoy the wonderful sport of mountain biking.


Jason Tassell - Tour Guide and Instructor(Level 1 MTB)

Jason is an all round mountain biking legend. If he is not on his bike then he is dreaming about mountain biking. A coach with many sayings but this is the best one:

Peta Demidenko - Tour Guide and Instructor (Level 0 MTB)

Peta has been mountain biking for over 8 years. Some of her adventures include Mt Buller in Victoria, Bali and New Zealand. She is an active member of the Kalamunda Mountain Bike Collective assisting in trail maintenance of the Kalamunda Circuit trail network. When she isn’t pushing a shovel on the trails she is racing and has competed at local, state and national cross country and endurance events. 


Katja Alsop

Katja began mountain biking over 20 years ago in her home country of Switzerland. She enjoyed a number of mtb trips around Europe and dabbled in racing XC, downhill and dual slalom.

After lots of travelling Katja moved to WA 10 years ago. She got back into mountain biking and raced a couple of seasons XC with the state series, before becoming a mum.

Katja returned to racing last year with the advent of the Gravity Enduro format and really enjoys the challenge and fun of this events. Katja is the 2014 Elite female WAGE champion. 

Katja loves teaching people mtb skills and sharing her passion of mountain biking with other people.
